Privacy Policy
This page explains what happens when you visit bargainbritsvpn.com — what's collected, why, and who it's shared with. It's written in plain English on purpose.
Who runs this site
Bargain Brits VPN is a single-page affiliate site run by an individual based in the UK/Thailand. If you have a question about this policy or how the site works, you can reach out via the contact details below.
What this site does — and doesn't — collect
This is a simple promotional page. It does not have user accounts, does not run a mailing list, and does not collect names, email addresses, or payment details directly.
The two things that do happen automatically when you load this page:
- Google Fonts — the page loads typefaces from Google's servers (fonts.googleapis.com / fonts.gstatic.com). Your browser sends Google your IP address to do this, the same as loading an image from any external site.
- Affiliate tracking — if you click through to Surfshark from this page, Surfshark's own affiliate network sets a tracking cookie so that, if you subscribe, this site is credited for the referral. That cookie is set by Surfshark/their affiliate network, not by this site directly.
Cookies
This site itself does not set its own cookies. Any cookie you encounter after clicking through to Surfshark is set on surfshark.com by Surfshark, and is covered by their own privacy policy, not this one.
Third parties
- Google Fonts (Google LLC) — for webfont delivery. See Google's Privacy Policy.
- Surfshark — the VPN provider this page promotes, via their affiliate programme. See Surfshark's Privacy Policy.
Neither this site nor its owner sells any data to anyone, because no personal data is collected here to sell.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to ask what data is held about you, request it be corrected or deleted, and object to processing. Since this site doesn't collect or store personal data itself, most requests of this kind will need to go to Google (for font delivery) or Surfshark (for anything related to an actual subscription) directly. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) if you feel your data has been mishandled.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated from time to time — for example, if analytics or new tools are added to the site. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the latest version.
Contact
Questions about this policy or the site can be sent via the affiliate disclosure link on the homepage, or to the site owner directly.
